Rules for the submission of abstracts

We invite you to submit abstracts for the „International Students’ Conference of Medical
Simulation – Wrocław, 2023”. All qualified papers will be presented online at the event on
4th of February 2023. Topics of submitted papers should cover the area of medical
simulation.

The abstract should include:

● title in English,

● name of author(s),

● full affiliation of author(s),

● degree/title, first letter of the first name and surname of the supervisor,

● name and e-mail of the presenting author(s).

The abstract should be structured as follows:

● introduction,

● aim of the research,

● material and methods,

● results,

● discussion and conclusions.

When using abbreviations, it is necessary to give the full wording the first time they are
used. Keywords (3-6) should be given in English, according to the MeSH (Medical Subject
Headings Index Medicus) catalogues. Keywords must not be a repetition of the title of the paper.
The abstract should be prepared in English.
Volume of the abstract: max. 400 words.

The deadline for abstract submission is 22 January 2023.
Authors will be notified of the acceptance of the abstract by 23 January 2023.

The organizers have also prepared a poster session to which you can submit your proposals.

Poster (what should it contain?)

● Poster title

● Information about the author/authors (academic title, name, surname, affiliation, email address

● A short introduction to the research topic along with a precisely defined aim of the research

● Methods

● Results

● Conclusions

● Optional: cited literature (maximum 10 most crucial items)

● Recognition of people who contributed to the work

● Poster’s format – A1 (59,4 cm x 84,1 cm) – vertical or horizontal

● Conference logo located in the left upper corner (LOGO’s link) and adjusted in size

● Sans-serif font o For the title from 90 to 140 pt. o For headings from 36 to 84 pt. o For text from 18 to 26 pt.

● Print (text, figures) minimum 0.5 cm from the edge of the poster.

Authors will be notified of the acceptance of the abstract by 23 January 2023.
