
Tessa has a wide range of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. She has taught in a primary school, supervised a preschool with specialist work in the sensory-motor area, worked as a Child and Family Therapist, and taught adult students in teaching and child development. She also owned and operated a GymbaROO centre for nine years and was the Research and Education Manager for GymbaROO in Australia for 6½ years. Tessa is also the “Tessa” behind Tessarose Productions — a company that has been creating music for children for over 30 years. Currently, she is a certified Rhythmic Movement Training Practitioner and runs a kinesiology clinic for children and adults. She has published research and co-authored Grandparenting Grandchildren with Dr Jane Williams. After completing her PhD focused on children’s primitive reflexes, Tessa now works part-time as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and as a registered kinesiologist.
