Sally Goddard Blythe

Sally Goddard Blythe is the author of eight books exploring the relationship between children’s motor development, learning, and emotional regulation, as well as numerous research papers on the impact of immature neuromotor skills on educational achievement. Since 1988, her work has been grounded in clinical practice, supervising INPP assessment protocols and intervention programmes for children. In 1996, she developed the INPP Screening Test and Developmental Movement Programme for use in schools. These programmes have been widely implemented in the United Kingdom and internationally, making physical intervention accessible within mainstream education systems. She has also led the standardisation of training materials for INPP-approved courses worldwide. Currently, INPP training is available in 14 countries. After retiring as International Director of INPP in 2025, she now focuses on lecturing, educational interviews, research, and consultancy.
